Zone:
The water areas covered
by VHF communications within Ningbo VTS can be divided
into 2 zones, the first zone for the water areas
among the reporting lines L3¡¢L4¡¢L5¡¢L7¡¢L8, the second
zone for others except above-mentioned water areas.
Working channel:
VHF06: used in the first zone
for vessels to report their vessels¡¯ positions
to VTS and inquire the relevant navigational safety
information. Used as a common channel for navigational
safety such as calling each other, vessel¡¯s movement
broadcasting and exchanging avoiding measures.
VHF16:
used in the second zone for vessels to report
their vessels¡¯ positions to VTS and inquire the
relevant navigational safety information. Used
as a common channel for navigational safety such
as calling each other, vessel¡¯s movement broadcasting
and exchanging avoiding measures.
VHF08 and VHF20:
used as a working channel for Ningbo VTS to broadcast
vessel¡¯s movement, the situation of the navigational
aid marks, weather, navigational warning and other
important safety information.
