Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration
    Ningbo Maritime Safety Administration of the People¡¯s Republic of China (here in after referred to as ¡°Ningbo MSA¡±), established on February 8th, 2001, is a branch bureau under Zhejiang MSA. Authorized by relevant laws and regulations, Ningbo MSA is responsible for

maritime safety supervision, anti-pollution from ships, port state control and maritime safe inspection of international navigation ships with Chinese or foreign nationalities under its jurisdiction, and undertakes the routine duties of Ningbo Maritime Search & Rescue Center.

    Jurisdiction areas of Ningbo MSA cover coastal waters from Hangzhou Bay in the North to Sanmen Bay in the south, Xiaqimen Channel and inland navigation waters, with a total sea area of about 9800sq.km and a total coastline of 1562km. There are nearly 530 islands, 50 above-10000-ton berths and 1203km inland navigation channels under its jurisdiction.
